Family Camping Trip
*Tickets are only needed for overnight camping. If you are just coming for all or part of the day you don't need a ticket.
OverviewWe are very excited to present our first annual family camping trip. We have selected a location close to the school. It is a very unstructured event, but we do have some activities planned. Please find the high-level schedule.
Saturday, June 29
T-ShirtsWe have arranged t-shirts for the event for people who want them. If you want to order one the cost will be $5. The PA is subsidizing the rest of the cost. We are working to finalize the order form with the printing company. We were trying to have it ready for the weekend, but it looks like it won't be until Monday, June 17. As soon as we have the form we will send it out. Orders will need to be placed by 1:00 PM on Wednesday. We apologize for the rush, but the decision to do t-shirts was a last minute addition.
You will be able to pay for your t-shirts at the time you order them. They will be delivered on the 29th at the camping event. If you have any questions, please email us at pa@mch-pa.org. FAQDo I need a ticket if I am only coming for the day?
No. Tickets are only needed for overnight camping. Can I bring alcohol? Alcohol is prohibited in King County Parks. Can I drop my kids off? No. You are responsible for your children during the trip. What do I need to bring? See the lists to the right. Is food provided? No. We are providing some coffee in the mornings and s'mores makings on Saturday night. You are responsible for the rest of your food. Do I have to stay the night? No, feel free to just come for part of the day. What does this cost? There is no change for this event. Funds from the annual SEED campaign are providing for the space rental, coffee and s'mores. Can I drive right to the camp site? No. It is about ½ mile walk from parking area to tent area. The campground has some wagons to borrow, but feel free to bring your own as well. Can you loan me camp gear? We are trying to connect families that have gear to lend with families who need it. You will find a section in the registration form to request help. Will there be a t-shirt? We are exploring a commemorative t-shirt. What are the bathroom facilities like? The group site we are at only has porta potties. We will be setting up some hand washing stations. |
