“Community is much more than belonging to something; it’s about doing something together that makes belonging matter.” – Brian Solis
The MCH Parent Association supports connection for the benefit of parents, teachers, caregivers, children, and the greater community. Based on parent interest and collaboration, we are hosting an ongoing Book/Podcast Circle via Zoom. Read the book, listen to an interview, or both! Join us to meet other MCH families and to engage in meaningful conversations about topics that explore joy, belonging, adventure, parenting, and so much more! Also keep an eye out for parent coffee and walk meet-ups. Here is what we are reading/listening to in the coming months:
January 18, 2022 at 7:30pm
The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune
Here is a little sound bite about the book, or check out a podcast interview about the book with the author. Contact us for Zoom details.
February 23, 2022, from 6-8pm
Shame-proof Parenting by Mercedes Samudio, LCSW
The author Mercedes Samudio will join to lead our discussion and answer your parenting questions!
Walk and Talk
We will be meeting February 11, 2022, after drop-off (approximately 9:30-9:45am) at Redmond Watershed Preserve. Meet at the Trout Loop Trail head in the parking lot (21760 Novelty Hill Rd, Redmond, WA 98053)
The Parent Association owes much of its success to the amazing parent volunteers that give hundreds of hours of their time each year. We are always looking for more help from the MCH community. If you are interested in helping, please contact us. We would love to hear from you.
