On Saturday, October 26th, the PA will raffle off a three-hour customized home visit with MCH Garden Specialist and Farm Manager, Mr. Burt! Grow your plant knowledge and support the PA at HarvestFest!
Mr. Burt is a certified arborist with more than 30 years of experience working in the tree care industry. He would love to come to your home and provide expert advice about the trees and shrubs in your yard. This event will bring joy to both parents and kids!
This is an amazing opportunity for families who want to know more about their plants or need expert advice on what to do with their trees. If you want to learn some basic pruning skills, Burt can also give a demonstration on how to properly prune any trees or shrubs. If you have a vegetable/fruit garden at home and want advice about how to get the most out of it, Mr. Burt can help with that too. Your kid(s) will just love the one-on-one time with Mr. Burt!

Raffle tickets will be sold as follows: $50 for 1 ticket, $100 for 3 tickets and $200 for 7 tickets. Tickets will only be sold at the HarvestFest on Saturday, October 26th between 10am-12:00pm. Tickets must be purchased in-person via cash, check or Tap-to-Pay with credit card. The winner will be announced at the end of the day. You do not need to be present to win.
The raffle winner will receive a three-hour home visit with MCH Garden Specialist and Farm Manager, Mr. Burt on a mutually agreed upon weekend date and time prior to June 20, 2025.

What is the maximum number of tickets that will be sold for this raffle?
WA State gambling laws restricts the total sale of all raffle tickets to $4,999, so that is approximately 150 tickets total that the PA can sell during the sell-period (approximately because the more tickets you purchase, the cheaper the ticket price becomes).
Do I have to have kids at MCH to participate in this raffle?
This raffle is open to any family or staff member of MCH, regardless of number of kids enrolled at MCH.
Can I use the three hours with Burt over multiple visits?
Mr. Burt has agreed to one home visit, so please use the time wisely! You are welcome to email with Burt prior to the visit to plan out the session. Feel free to include pictures so he can prepare accordingly.
Where will the money raised by this raffle go?
The money will go into the SEED fund which entirely funds all the PA's operations and activities.

No, the money spent to purchase raffle tickets is not tax deductible as a service is provided in return.
